Steve Collins' Professional Journey

Steve Collins began his career with a solid foundation in engineering, completing a four-year craft engineering apprenticeship. Driven by a passion for continuous learning, he pursued an engineering degree, graduating with first-class honors. His career took off in the automotive industry with Lucas Automotive, where he gained invaluable insights into world-class business operations. While at Lucas, Steve achieved his chartered engineering status and embarked on an MBA, which propelled him into a senior engineering role at Tenneco Automotive. There, he led cultural transformations and managed high-stakes projects for blue-chip clients. After a strategic corporate review led to the closure of Tenneco’s UK site, Steve transitioned into a turnaround role with an SME, working closely with venture capitalists. This experience, coupled with his MBA, paved the way for his ascent to business unit manager and operations director roles, overseeing large teams and multi-site operations globally. Over the past six years, Steve has successfully established his own consultancy, delivering impactful turnaround and consulting projects across various sectors.
